The Kingdom History
Timbuktu sat at the edge of the Sahara, where desert caravans met the river trade. It grew rich from gold and salt but it became famous for learning. Its scholars wrote and collected a huge number of books, on subjects from the stars to medicine to law, and students travelled there to study.
What House TIMBUKTU Stands For
Timbuktu is the house of thinkers. It showed that ideas can make a place greater than gold can. House Timbuktu is for students who love to learn, ask questions, and share what they know.
